D-day, judgement day, day of reckoning.
We certainly feel like soldiers going into battle on the Exam Day (or lambs heading for a slaughter when not prepared).
Then, who better to learn from than Sun Tzu – the military genius of Ancient China!
“So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”
- Search for the easiest questions first, build confidence and then progressively move to harder questions.
“Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win”
- Go in prepared knowing course objectives, having worked on mock exams and with a plan in mind.
“In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity”
- Exam feels too hard even though well prepared? Good chance the pass mark may be lower, they need to maintain a minimum passing %. Go on with confidence, chances are better now.
“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”
- Don’t spend too much time perfecting answers, spend more time on questions that need more work.
“Know yourself and you will win all battles”
- Find ways to cool your nerves and steady your mind, you’re a lean mean exam taking machine!
What are the tactics that work for you on D-Day?
