Ah here we go again...
The ritual shared by everyone..
Friend and foe unite,
In celebrating yet another successful revolution,
Of the earth around the sun..
Was it a good year, was it a bad one?
It was what it was, It is what it is,
Much to improve on, much to be grateful for,
Much that united us, much that divided us,
Much that we survived, much that made us wiser..
Whatever it is we may say,
An opportunity indeed it is for us,
An opportunity to look back,
An opportunity to look forward,
Let all that was, be,
Let all that is to be, be,
Some of us travel together, some only briefly,
Some new faces, some familiar ones,
All of you have a place in my heart,
And I look forward to travelling further with you,
If you wish to walk with me..
And now a new year beckons,
Wisdom, love, health and wealth,
All of these I wish, for all of you my friends,
Let us keep our spirits up,
For there is nothing that will not pass..
Whatever it is that we dream of,
Whatever it is that makes us alive,
Let us cherish that at heart, let us move closer to it,
Let us shine, let us sparkle,
Let us laugh, till it hurts!
