Do we dare to dream?

As children, our dreams were vast, they were wildly ambitious.

We dreamed of being astronauts exploring the outer space. We dreamed of solving the problems of the world, we dreamed of stretching the boundaries of human achievements and discoveries.

We wondered where we come from, we wondered why all of this is.

As we grew, the world laughed at our so called childish ambitions. The immediate issues and problems surrounding us forced us to be more “realistic”.

We adjusted our dreams to meet our immediate concerns. As students we just dream about acing our courses. As graduates we just dream about getting a coveted job.

As young men and women we just dream about our ideal life partner.

As career persons, we just dream about getting a promotion, a bonus or at best being the CEO of our company.

As business persons, we just dream about building our business, about getting the coveted clients, about generating revenues and profits.

Why have we scaled down our dreams?

Yes there are practical concerns around us, but that inner child in us is still there.

That inner child wonders who am I? He wonders, what can I do to make the world a better place? She wonders, is there more to discover, of the grand mysteries of the universe?

And every now and then, some of us who let our inner child dream, make amazing discoveries. Some discoveries are for the world to see, some are hidden in our inner world.

Some of us realise that dream in building businesses, making scientific discoveries, or do our part in transforming the world with our voice and vision.

That amazing inner child needs to continue dreaming.

Please, let us dream of vast dreams. And let those dreams transform our worlds, and transform the world of our communities.

Let us realise our true potential, our true self.
