(Or Actuarial Oceans/Avengers team...sorry, not a fan of the Justice League )
Now now, I don’t think breaking into the Examination Institute and printing more exam papers would work - not the same as printing money
Regular work outs are much easier to keep up consistently when you have a group of friends to do it with. Social motivation is powerful. Studying for actuarial exams is no different. Group study has many benefits of course, but then we remember group work in school/university - lots of chatter and little actual work done - we can’t have that here! How do we optimise our study group? Some thoughts: 1. Weed out slackers - struggling is okay, slacking is not. Harsh, but no deadwood allowed. 2. Have one or two pace-setters (aka the teacher’s pet) - yes, a tad annoying at times, but they keep you on your toes, which is really important. 3. Schedule and plan your meet-ups/calls - the frequency, duration and (rough) agenda 4. Don’t forget to have fun - let your hair loose now and then, you deserve it! 🕺🏻💃🏻 5. Set milestones and celebrate them! 🥳🎶 No friends/colleagues taking exams with you? Reach out on social media, the world is small! Do tell us, how did group study help you in actuarial exams?
