Studying for actuarial exams...
Being an amateur badminton player, I found many parallels between sports and studies...
A sportsman/woman would carefully prepare a training schedule, train with discipline but also being careful not to overtrain...
Nutrition, rest and mental health are all central to his/her preparation...
On the day of the tournament, he/she would have planned tactics and work on keeping his/her nerves steady - and then go on to play the best game possible...
Win or lose, that’s all part of the game - but he /she would go back and refine his/her preparation and techniques to do better next time...
The long journey/marathon of actuarial exams should treated similarly, don’t you agree?
