The Silent Observers - ep 6

Previously: Episode 5

Spending time on Earth was very special for Troodons - it was a place of great significance, and they would consider themselves extremely lucky to have the privilege of being on Earth... An Earth like the human one, where they could freely explore (while being hidden), without fear of losing their lives, was even more special and rare... And for Graver & Varda, it was unbelievably special...did they just fall in love, or did they rediscover an old love? Was it a friendship of a few years, or were they soul mates from ages long past? How many sunrises have they seen together? How many sunsets did they experience? How many times were they united? How many times were they parted? How many times have their eyes met longingly, only for fate to keep them apart?

Alas, it was not for them to know, only for them to feel...

Alas, we can't give them too much time away from our prying eyes...as it's time to continue on with our story...

Now we see them enjoying a nice grilled seafood meal over a small camp fire by the beach...Varda hears branches lightly cracking. "Graver! Someone's here! Quick, get your hologram up!" "Hi there! I'm Lily" A cheerful young girl's voice came from behind...

"It's okay, I know you aren't human..." Varda and Graver froze, and stared at each other, and then at the teenage girl, and then back at each other...

"Can I give you a hug?" Lily was bright, warm and trusting . Luckily for her, Varda & Graver were the trustworthy type.

"Alright, come here!" Varda said with a warm smile. Lily rushed into her arms.

"Now what happens? Like..are you gonna neuralize me?" Graver laughed "You mean like in Men in Black? Nah, we'll just eat your brains.."

"Graver! Don't be silly. So Lily, ideally we should be not seen, but we have safe protocols when someone sees us...it happens sometimes..more on that later. How did you find us? How are you not afraid of us?"

"Sooo...I love observing the night sky on my telescope...and I started seeing some abnormal light curvatures a six months ago back near Jupiter..and I saw this abnormality changing positions every day, and kept following it for a while..then it kind of disappeared, and I gave up...but I had the hunch it was not a natural phenomenon...

Then about 2 months ago I saw something like a bright meteor coming in...but strangely it didn't look like a meteor either and it was doing this abnormal light curvature thing so I knew something was up...and I followed that movement till it came to this coast.. It took a while for me to convince mum & dad to do a road trip out here..as this place is pretty well hidden...and it's a little chilly to be at the beach now..."

Varda was amazed.."And how come you aren't afraid of us?"

"Hmm...I don't know, didn't think that through...never occurred to me..."
